Japan-based Okuma Corporation, which is represented in the UK by Surrey-based NCMT (
www.ncmt.co.uk), will display its industry-leading solutions for the mould and die industry (Hall 27, Stand D26).
Taking centre stage will be the newly developed MCR-S double-column machining centre for the high-precision five-sided machining of large workpieces.
This combines several ‘state of the art’ features and is suitable for producing high-quality dies.
It offers outstanding dimensional accuracy and very high chip removal rates, while its robust double-column design ensures stability and provides vibration damping.
Okuma will also display the Genos M460V-5AX five-axis machining centre and the newly developed Genos M660-V-E, which is the smallest vertical machining centre in its range.
Another highlight will be an MB-46VAE equipped with Standroid, a robotic arm installed in a cell.
Yhis makes automation accessible for small- and medium-size businesses where conventional technologies would be too costly or too complex.
Visitors will also find Okuma’s renowned multi-tasking Multus U and Laser EX machines on display.
