The Nantgarw-based company, which specialises in servicing a range of aircraft engines for over 90 world-wide customers (including Easyjet, Emirates and Continental), won the Excellence in Manufacturing award.
Managing director Mike Patton said: “At GE Aviation Wales, we are proud to offer our customers a service that is second to none, placing huge focus on quality and customer care.
“This award reflects the hard work and commitment of each of our employees; without their support and dedication, we would not be able to do what we do — day in, day out — successfully. I would like to thank everyone for their efforts, and we look forward to a successful 2013.”
GE Aviation Wales employs over 1,200 people and recently opened a Fan Case Centre of Excellence. This incorporates composite repair and new technologies, further enhancing the company’s capabilities as a leading assembly, test and overhaul facility.
