Kepston invests in new equipment#madeinthemidlands #ukmfg #engineering #EDM Engineering sub-contractor Kepston Ltd has expanded its business, adding new machinery to the company’s Midlands sites in Aldridge and Wednesbury.

The investment, worth more than £1.5 million, was made as the company was experiencing one of the strongest trading periods in its history.

Kepston’s most recent investment — a Moore 1200-CP 180i high-rise jig grinding machine — is installed at its Aldridge site. Also new at this site is a wire-cut EDM machine — one of the largest in terms of component size in the UK.

The Wednesbury site has also seen investment, including advanced furnace equipment designed to ensure the company remains one of the UK’s leaders for the mesh belt furnace brazing of both mild steel and stainless steel components.

Managing director Brent Millage says: “Our success is down to having an exceptional team that is prepared to make hard decisions — including taking investment risks at a difficult time. By listening to our customers and supporting them with excellent service we have been able to move the business forward.”
