Company director Helen Pitt said the grant aid will help to improve sales. “The grant is a substantial part of our business plans; without it, we wouldn’t have been able to pursue our current marketing activities, and we have won new orders almost immediately as a result of attending a prestigious trade show. Above that, it has really given us a financial boost, and we will now be able to take on new machine operators and an apprentice.”
Ms Pitt and co-director Graham Robinson contacted the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, which works in partnership with the local authority, to ask for help. They were directed to Alison Bradley at Central Finance, who helped them to apply for funding.
