Train order for Bombardier

#international #bombardier Bombardier Transportation has won an order from National Express Rail GmbH — a Düsseldorf-based subsidiary of the UK’s National Express Group — to supply Talent 2 trains for regional service. A consortium of National Express and IntEgro Verkehr won the licence in a Europe-wide tender; the order is valued at about 170 million euros.

Bombardier will supply three- and five-car electric trains that can reach speeds up to 160km/hr and have improved access for people with restricted mobility. Other features include multi-purpose areas — with space for prams, wheelchairs and bicycles — and screens with details of connecting services.
