#ukmfg #engineering #ukindustry According to the latest Entrepreneurs’ Index from Barclays Bank, the North West is leading a manufacturing revival.
Regeneration projects have also been highlighted as part of the North West’s so-called “renaissance movement”, with the £50 billion Atlantic Gateway in the pipeline and the forthcoming developments at the Port of Liverpool and the Manchester Ship Canal (Salford Quays pictured).
Alan Edwards, director of Barclays Wealth & Investment Management in Manchester, said: “As the birth-place of the Industrial Revolution, we know that the North West’s economy is underpinned by the manufacturing sector. From our work on the ground with local clients, we are seeing a noticeable shift in activity and confidence within the industrial sector, which has a knock-on effect for other businesses in the region.”
