Asquith Butler Ltd (
www.asquithbutler.com) has added machining centres built by Zayer of Spain and Sahos of the Czech Republic to its portfolio, complementing its existing sales agreement with the Belgium company Mubea Systems (Hall 5 Stand 5888).
A long-established British manufacturer of large-capacity travelling-gantry vertical machining centres and travelling-column horizontal-spindle machines, Asquith Butler will continue production of its bespoke five/six-axis Starcut travelling-gantry and Starturn mill-turn centres.
The standard ranges of Powercentre and Starcentre models will be phased out, but the manufacture of large-capacity turning and positioning tables from 3 to 5m square (or diameter) will continue at the Brighouse, West Yorkshire, site.
