The Wakefield-based engineering company Group Rhodes (www.grouprhodes.com) won the MWP Advanced Engineering Award 2014 for Best Automation System.

The award, which was accepted by managing director Mark Ridgeway, was in recognition of the design and manufacture of a turn-key automated processing line for producing circular blanks for kitchen appliances.

The system has provided the customer with a 400% increase in production and the ability to manufacture an increased product range.
