High level of new customers for ITC

High level of new customers for ITC Tamworth-based Industrial Tooling Corporation Ltd (ITC) (www.itc-ltd.co.uk) says it has always enjoyed an exceptional level of success at MACH exhibitions, but the 2014 event surpassed all the company’s expectations, delivering not only a record number of strong sales leads but also a high level of business from new customers.

Managing director Peter Graves says the surge in interest at MACH is not just indicative of a growing level of market confidence. “The upturn in demand for our products has been on-going for some time, with the company noting record results over the first quarter of 2014. Coinciding with the growth in the manufacturing sector, we can attribute our growth levels at ITC to the new products developed by our R&D. Furthermore, we have extended our range with the recent addition of the Micro 100 line of precision boring tools for the turned-parts sector. This perfectly complements the Widia Hanita line of VariDrill and VariTap drilling and threading tools that we have added to the VariMill range of end mills.”

Among the new products that were introduced by ITC at MACH were the 3091 Cyber series of three-flute end mills for machining aluminium, the 3051 series of long end mills, and the 2172 series of two-flute ball-nose cutters — also for machining aluminium. With the machining of hard steels and exotic materials increasingly commonplace, ITC introduced its new 4032 series of ball-nose end mills for profiling and the 6061 line of multi-flute end mills. Both series are manufactured from an ultra-wear-resistant micro-grain coated carbide that can machine materials beyond 60HRC.
