After seven years as director general, overseeing a 30% growth in membership and the development of an association that is well regarded by the Government, Graham Dewhurst has retired from the Manufacturing Technologies Association.
The board has identified James Selka as the successor for his position, now renamed ‘chief executive officer’. Highly knowledgeable about global manufacturing, Mr Selka spent 13 years as managing director of an international supplier of high-precision instrument sub-systems.
MTA president Mark Ridgeway said: “Our members can be assured of an efficient transfer of responsibilities from Graham to James — supported by a skilled team at Bayswater Road.”
