The Super Speed range of machines from Haas (www.haascnc.com) has been updated.

The Haas Super Speed family of VMCs now includes the VF-2SS (pictured), VF-3SS, VF-4SS, VF-5SS and VF-6SS; an extended Y axis is available on the VF-2 and VF-3 models.

The latest models include a newly designed 24+1 side-mounted tool-changer that is made using lighter materials and incorporates a high-performance servo motor to
give a 1.6sec tool-to-tool exchange time; meanwhile, high-pitch ballscrews coupled with high-torque axis drives give rapids of 35m/min.

Furthermore, the 30hp in-line direct-drive spindle is capable of running continuously at 12,000rev/min.
