Passenger Lift Services (www.mobilitynetworksgroup.com) — a leading manufacturer of powered lifts and ramps for buses, ambulances and other vehicles — has consolidated all its activities (from three plants) on one site in Smethwick. This will benefit its clients in several ways, including shorter lead times, enhanced project monitoring and faster availability of parts.

Over a period of nearly 25 years, PLS has doubled in size about every five years, and the latest move is the most significant yet. The additional space has given the company the ability to increase its stock levels in terms of both material and parts. A new paint shop will be in operation soon, and a ‘centre of excellence for education’ is under development.
