Bradford-based Victor Manufacturing, which employs 95 people and has a turnover of £6.8 million, is celebrating its 70th anniversary. Founded in 1944 as a sheet-metal-working company, the business was acquired by Michael & Joyce Mountain in 1953 and subsequently moved into making catering equipment for hospitals and schools.
Managing director Mick Shaddock said: “It’s been tough for British manufacturers — across all sectors — to continue to flourish and thrive in this difficult economic climate. I can only account our success to the fact that we are providing high-quality products that our customers want to buy. Keeping our designers, engineers and manufacturing all together in the UK means that we can stay close to our market and react quickly to its needs.”
