China’s Tianjin Airlines is to buy 40 aircraft from Brazilian aerospace group Embraer. The company has ordered 20 E190 jets and 20 E190E-2 models in a
deal worth $2.1 billion. Meanwhile, ICBC, China’s biggest bank, is to purchase 20 E190s for $1.1 billion.
The Chinese groups signed agreements during a state visit to Brasilia by Chinese President Xi Jinping. Embraer president Paulo Cesar Silva said: “This is the most important moment in this old and solid alliance with Tianjin Airlines.”
