Northern Manufacturing & Electronics 2014 will take place at Event City in Manchester on 1-2 October. The exhibition will host two days of free seminars featuring speakers from a number of leading companies, who will cover a wide range of technical and operational issues in hour-long sessions. The programme has been designed to appeal to visitors from all branches of manufacturing, engineering design and production.

The speakers include Samir Shah of OptimumFX, talking about how firms can improve their manufacturing performance, as well as David Moore from Standard Marsh, who will present an introduction to 3-D printing. Other topics to be discussed include: the origins and applications of ‘lean’ manufacturing; how to improve negotiation skills; and how best to apply real-time analytics to improve efficiency.
