Skoda is to start production of the next-generation Fabia at its Mladá Boleslav factory at the beginning of next month. The Czech company took advantage of the summer-holiday shutdown of the factory to prepare for this.
The company is integrating a new engine range, which includes four petrol variants and three diesel variants. The new engine will reduce the energy consumption of the Fabia by up to 17%, the company says.
Marek Jancák, Skoda’s head of vehicle production, said: “We have expanded and technically updated important areas of the M1 assembly line in Mladá Boleslav, and we can now say that the new Fabia really does represent ‘small car, big technology’.”
