Additive manufacturing (AM) system manufacturer EOS (www.eos.info) has announced the development of a high-performance on-line process-monitoring solution in conjunction with Plasmo Industrietechnik, a global supplier of automated quality assurance systems.

Referring to the melt pool monitoring concept, EOS technical director Tobias Abeln (pictured right with Dr Thomas Grünberger, Technical Director (CTO) at plasmo) said: “As an expert partner in the field of manufacturing and process monitoring, Plasmo is assisting us on our road to additive series manufacturing.”
