A 100-year-old Burnley-based manufacturer and distributor of electrical cables has gone into administration. Dan Smith and Bill Dawson of Deloitte have been appointed joint administrators of Concord Holdings Ltd, which employs 38 people and comprises three companies: Concord Holdings, Concordia Technologies and Heatsense Cables.

Mr Smith said: “Despite taking steps to restructure its cost base, the group was unable to bridge its short-term funding requirement.”
