Firth Rixson, which makes parts for aerospace jet engines, has won a contract worth more than $200 million from Snecma of France.
The Sheffield-based company will supply components for three engine programmes set to power next-generation aircraft, including the Airbus A320neo family and the Boeing 737 MAX family. Chief executive David Mortimer said: “This contract demonstrates the robustness of our critical rotating engine discs and rings supply.”
