Hyder Consulting, which has an office in Birmingham, is to be acquired by Dutch engineering firm Arcadis in a deal worth £256 million.
Hyder will be absorbed into Arcadis UK Investments, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the parent company.
Hyder is one of the world’s oldest engineering consultancies and operates in Asia, Australia, the Middle East, Germany and the UK.
It employs approximately 4,500 people world-wide
