Liverpool-based Clarke Energy has won its first contract in Algeria. The company is to install a captive power plant at Plast Paper’s industrial plastic goods manufacturing facility in Oran.
The power plant will give the factory a more reliable electricity supply and prevent grid disturbances from affecting production. Algeria has large gas reserves and historically used large gas turbines for generating power — or diesel-fuelled generators in more remote locations.
