Companies in Derbyshire that are keen to export to Singapore and Malaysia are being encouraged to sign up for a trade mission to those two countries. UKTI is organising the trip, which will take place 2-6 February next year.

Led by regional expert Javier Lafuente, it will give companies the chance to take part in a pre-visit briefing, receive language and cultural support, benefit from market overviews upon arrival, and attend networking events with the British Chambers of Commerce in both countries.

This will be the fifth time that UKTI East Midlands has taken a mission to Singapore and Malaysia.

Mr Lafuente said: “Joining a trade mission gives companies the advantage of support from a UKTI representative, the chance to network with like-minded businesses and the backing of the British Government, which gives kudos overseas. Singapore has a well-deserved reputation for being one of the best business environments in the world and is
a major trading hub in South East Asia.”
