Chesterfield-based Kingfield Electronics has moved from two separate premises into one 45,000ft2 manufacturing facility and created 30 new jobs as part of a £2.5 million project supported by a grant from the Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP).
Established in 1985, the company has customers in a number of sectors, including aerospace, defence and process instrumentation.
Managing director Nick Taylor said: “This latest investment has involved purchasing and refurbishing our new premises, as well as adding new production equipment, including another high-speed robotic assembly line. We are still a relatively small company, with no external investors. We hope that this expansion will enable us to grow and compete more strongly in the global market-place.”
