Derby-based Enscite is holding a free event on 5 November, to offer SMEs supplying the UK’s rail sector an insight into opportunities within the supply chain and what the major manufacturers look for in their suppliers.
The event, backed by national and regional bodies including BIS and UKTI, aims to develop business opportunities in transport engineering and bring OEMs and SMEs “closer together.”
Sid Bains, Encite’s head of innovation and technology, said: “Our aim is to provide SMEs with support and services that help them to maximise their potential within the transport engineering sector. Our Rail Supply Chain Event gives a rare insight into how SMEs can work towards achieving this in the rail sector, with a range of speakers and a panel of representatives from many of the UK’s leading operators and manufacturers in the rail industry.”
Colin Flack, CEO of the Rail Alliance, will chair the panel debate and discussion involving senior representatives from Alstom Transport, Bombardier, DDRF, East Midlands Trains, Future Railway, Network Rail and Unipart Rail.
