The Engineering Technology Group (www.engtechgroup.com) and Hardinge Machine Tools have signed an agreement that will see ETG undertake the sales, service and technical support for the range of Hardinge Super Precision turning centres.

ETG has represented Hardinge and Bridgeport turning, milling and work-holding products in the UK since April 2013.

Martin Doyle, ETG’s group sales and marketing director, said: “The addition of Hardinge SP turning centres adds another dimension, bringing together the design and manufacture of hardware and software that Hardinge claims produces ‘the most accurate parts coming off a production turning centre in the world’.

Hardinge SP machines fulfil a specific need where prolonged high-level accuracy is required in a high-volume production environment.”

In the UK, commercial and technical activities and after sales will all be integrated into ETG’s comprehensive infrastructure based in its Southam, Warwickshire headquarters.
