Sheffield-based Atkinson Walker has secured a £165,000 finance facility from Aldermore Bank. The company — founded in the 1930s — has grown to become one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of circular saw blades.
Chairman Nick Alexander said: “Atkinson Walker has a long history as a successful business, and I believe that the company has an even brighter future. We are very proud of our Sheffield heritage, and as we look for further export growth, the Made in Sheffield logo on our blades gives us a strong competitive advantage over similar suppliers in Germany, France and Sweden.
“Aldermore’s invoice finance facility has helped to ‘free up’ funds to enable us to further invest in future growth. The bank has taken the time to understand the company, and it is providing a bespoke facility that addresses our business needs directly.”
