Cleckheaton-based Cutwel has launched a new on-line shop (
www.cutwel.co.uk) dedicated to cutting tools, work-holding, measuring tools and machine tool accessories for the metal-cutting industry.
This Web site is the result of two years’ planning and a major investment by the West Yorkshire tooling specialist. General manager Adam Gillard says: “We knew if we wanted to build a successful on-line tooling shop, we had to be different to stand out from the crowd.
“On that basis, we have built the only on-line shop in the UK that offers a B2C-style user experience with B2B functionality and the full technical resources of a typical engineering tooling Web site,”
The Web site has live stock, live pricing, cutting data, dimensions, catalogue pages, videos, linked spare parts, easy navigation and over 5,000 new products. The customer account area allows users to view and order from history, pay invoices, set up multiple users and download invoices 24hr a day, seven days a week.
“Most of our customers are small to medium-size businesses whose directors work seven days a week and out of office hours. We needed to make sure that they could cost up jobs, do their accounts and plan their tooling when they wanted — not just when we are open.”
