McLaren Applied Technologies (MAT), which works on technical applications for the Woking-based McLaren Group, is to increase its presence in Singapore by creating a multi-disciplinary team of up to 30 people focusing on the development, testing and industrialisation of emerging technologies. The company already has its Asia-Pacific headquarters in the city-state.

MAT vice-president Geoff McGrath said: “Asia is crucially important to the future of the entire McLaren Group. MAT’s growth in Asia will enable the company to provide high-value employment and training in Singapore, to develop ground-breaking new technologies and processes, and to access fast-growing markets across the region.”
