Pailton Engineering Ltd — a leading designer of steering systems — has recruited three senior managers with experience of modern manufacturing methods.
The Coventry-based company, which exports to more than 30 countries and has clients such as JCB, Alexander Dennis and Leyland DAF, is looking forward to “an exciting new era”.
Richard Webb — the new production engineering manager — has significant experience of ‘lean’ manufacturing, while new planning and production-control manager Dave Phelan comes from an aerospace background and is responsible for inventory control, logistics and running the MRP system.
Meanwhile, Nick Ward — the new manufacturing manager — is responsible for quality, maintenance and planning the work on the shopfloor. His background is in automotive manufacturing; he was previously the operations manager at a company that produced ignition leads.
Sales and marketing director Ian Palmer (pictured) said: “We are delighted that Dave, Nick and Richard have joined Pailton Engineering. I am sure that, with their knowledge of modern manufacturing methods, they will lift the company to the next level on the world-class manufacturing stage.”
