The British government has formally expressed interest in buying a 40% stake in high-speed train operator Eurostar International Ltd (EIL).
Potential bidders have until 31 October to respond, with the Government saying its key objective is to “maximise value-for-money for the UK taxpayer, which will be achieved through a combination of value maximisation, risk transfer and enabling the continued operation of EIL”.
