Dorset-based Heatric has won an £80 million contract to supply components to Petrobras, the Brazilian oil and gas giant.
The company secured the order after Petrobras representatives visited its Poole headquarters during a UKTI Brazil conference.
It will supply printed-circuit heat exchangers for use on floating production, storage and offloading units. The UKTI team in Rio de Janeiro provided market advice.
Sales director Nick Johnston said: “UKTI continues to identify opportunities for us to raise our profile and connect with relevant local ‘stake-holders’. They knew who we needed to speak to in Brazil and made sure that we got face-to-face time with them.”
Heatric was formed in Australia in 1985 and relocated to Poole after it was acquired by the Meggitt defence and aerospace group in 1990. It employs more than 350 people in Dorset and has sales offices in Houston, Singapore and Sydney.
