Elecsis Switchgear, which makes a range of power distribution units, is to create 29 jobs at its Bridgwater headquarters in Somerset.

This has been made possible by a £150,000 grant from the Government’s Growth Acceleration and Investment Network Fund.

Nick Messarra, business development director at Elecsis, said: “We wanted to expand as part of our long-term strategy, so we were delighted to win this grant. It means that we can buy new equipment and machinery straight away to make the business more efficient, and we can create more good-quality skilled jobs for local people.”
