Orthopaedic-device company Arthrex Inc has landed a $255 million five-year contract from the US Department of Defence to supply medical devices and accessories to the US Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies.
Florida-based Arthrex specialises in minimally invasive arthroscopic devices and competed against 57 companies for the contract.
The company makes 94% of its products in the USA and exports to more than 100 countries.
