Hyde Group Nuclear Ltd has opened a new manufacturing facility in Dukinfield, Greater Manchester.

The business has invested more than £1 million at the plant, which has engineering, design and build and manufacturing services.

The facility employs eight technical and manufacturing staff and is set to create additional roles next year.

Managing director Loren Jones said: “Here at Hyde, we have a breadth of manufacturing capability; and while we will continue to work with the 20 other manufacturing units within the Hyde Group, we believe it is important that we dedicate this site to nuclear work.

“This gives us the ability to control all aspects of the manufacturing processes and deliver the exceptional quality standards that key elements of our work demand.”

Hyde Group Nuclear Ltd is a subsidiary of the Hyde Group, which was established as Hyde Tool in a small mill in 1968.

Initially, the company specialised in the manufacture of press tools.
