Northumberland-based Eminent Engineering Ltd
eminenteng.co.uk, which specialises in the fabrication and treatment of steelwork projects, is to invest in a three-year expansion programme after receiving a £25,000 grant from the Finance for Business North East Micro-loan Fund.
The finance, which was secured through the Microloan Fund’s new managers, Rivers Loan, a trading subsidiary of Rivers Capital Partners, will be used to upgrade machinery and buy and install a new plant.
The Bedlington business is looking to increase its turnover to £850,000 by 2017 and intends to create at least six new jobs. It is planned that many of these new positions will be filled by apprentices.
Paul Milsted, managing director of Eminent Engineering, said: “We are pleased that Rivers Capital are providing vital support to SMEs around the North East, and this can only assist in consolidating the current recovery.”
