Alstom
www.alstom.com has received a 150 million euro contract from the Swedish operator Skånetrafiken to deliver 25 Coradia Nordic regional trains for the southern region of Skåne.
Under this contract, Alstom will be responsible for the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the trains.
The 74m-long trains will be delivered in April 2017 and will have a maximum operational speed of 160kph. Manufactured in Alstom's Salzgitter facility in Germany, they will have four cars and will be capable of carrying up to 510 passengers.
Since 2002, Alstom has delivered 69 Coradia Nordic regional trains for Skånetrafiken. Coradia trains are currently operating in Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
