Great Yarmouth-based DSL (www.derricksl.com) has won a contract from ONGC India for the upgrade, refurbishment and re-certification of six drilling derricks (located on two drill ships and four jack-up rigs).

The work will begin immediately and is due to be finished within 12 months. The contract was awarded to DSL UK, but the group will use resources in the UAE, India and Singapore to support the completion of these projects.

This contract comes off the back of a significant amount of derrick refurbishment and recertification projects for DSL, as its reputation for such work goes from strength to strength.
