Cobham-based Hexagon Metrology (
www.hexagonmetrology.com) has introduced the Leitz Reference HP 7.7.5.
This compact CMM for small workpieces with tight tolerances has a measuring volume of 700 x 700 x 500mm and provides the low levels of measuring uncertainty required by precision manufacturers. Moreover, it is equipped with Hexagon Metrology’s HP-S-X3 scanning probe head as standard; this can carry stylus configurations up to 360mm long and weighing 150gm.
Ingo Lindner, stationary CMM product line manager at Hexagon, says: “The Leitz Reference HP 7.7.5 features all the technology that gives this range its characteristic accuracy, versatility and throughput. This compact machine has a small footprint but huge application potential across a number of industries.”
Available with PC-DMIS or QUINDOS metrology software, this CMM can also be configured as a gear inspection centre.
The new Leitz Reference HP 7.7.5 is available to order immediately through local Hexagon Metrology commercial operations, with shipments beginning in May.
