Cutwel has been appointed as an agent for Simtek, a leading German manufacturer of high-precision internal and external machining systems. The Simturn range offers various tooling systems, with each range optimised for particular diameters.

For example, the AX range is for small-part machining in bores from 0.3 to 10mm; for larger bores up to 80mm in diameter, the E3 range is recommended. This is also suitable for external applications, with three cutting edges per insert, while the GX range is designed for cutting depths up to 26mm, as well as parting-off applications.
