A new Web site (www.TheFundingCentre.com) aimed at SMEs looking for alternative sources of funding has been launched.

It includes a simple tool that enables users to compare a variety of alternative-finance products such as peer-to-peer loans, invoice finance and crowd funding.

David Stevenson, founder of the Funding Centre, said: “We believe that businesses should go direct to the vast number of new on-line funding platforms.

“At the last count, there were hundreds of platforms and products, offering everything from short-term working-capital finance to long-term equity.
