Barnsley-based Cutting Technologies (
www.cut-tec.co.uk) is to invest £450,000 in new machinery, taking its total investment in the past year to £1.25 million.
The company received a Regional Growth Fund grant of £135,000 towards the investment, which will see it create 10 jobs and increase its output. It operates six lasers at its 18,000 sq ft premises and employs 30 people.
Company director Jane Robinson (pictured) says: “We are attracting some extremely high-profile work across a range of sectors and simply have more work than we can handle at the moment.
“We are keen to continue growing; this funding will allow us to purchase an extra laser and nitrogen generator, which will have an enormous impact on our productivity.”
