Devon-based XYZ Machine Tools’ (
www.xyzmachinetools.com) first two Open House events of 2015 continued the positive sales trend from last year, with machines worth more than £1.3 million sold at its headquarters in Burlescombe and its showroom in Blackburn.
Sales manager Martin Burton says: “These two initial Open Houses have been a fantastic success, with engineers and buyers from almost 60 companies taking the time to come and talk to us.
"More encouraging was the fact that many of them arrived ready to place orders there and then, with many more potential sales in the pipeline as a result of discussions that took place.”
The two events saw 34 machines sold, a high proportion of them being from XYZ’s ProTurn range of ProtoTrak-controlled lathes — including six of the popular SLX 425 x 1.25m specification machine.
“The positive response to these Open Houses is indicative of the continuing confidence in the UK manufacturing sector, which bodes well for the remainder of 2015.
"With the extensive and versatile range that we have — combined with the expertise gained over XYZ’s 30 years as a leading supplier of machine tools — we are well placed to continue where we left off in 2014 with strong sales growth.”
XYZ’s next Open House event takes place at its most recent showroom — in Livingston, Scotland — on 22 and 23 April, with the doors opening at 08.30 each day. Contact your local sales engineer or to register your interest in attending.
