Nanjing High Accurate Drive Equipment Manufacturing Group Co Ltd — better known as NGC — has established its European head office in the German river port of Duisburg.
The Chinese transmission and drive technology business says that “proximity, spare-part inventories and bundled know-how offer the basis for optimum customer support and rapid-response time”.
Erich Staake, CEO of Duisburger Hafen AG (which owns the port), said: “This is an important step in the continued development of our diversified connections to the Chinese market, which have been established in recent years.
NGC’s decision to set up its European head office in the Port of Duisburg confirms the attractiveness of this location and its importance as the leading logistics hub in Central Europe.
“With our full-service approach, which includes development of logistics solutions for the loading industry, we offer the ideal complement to NGC’s service range.
In this way, we are able to address the growing requirements for flexibility and performance, while also generating new added value at this location.”
NGC is the first Chinese company to base itself at the port.
