Mustang Marine (
www.mustangmarine.com) has won a £3.6 million order to build three new boats for the Port of Milford Haven. As a result, the company — based at Pembroke Dock — intends to add to its current workforce of 54 people.
Managing director Stewart Graves said: “This contract forms part of an encouraging start to 2015. We are now recruiting in a number of skilled positions, as well as employing three apprentices.”
Andy Jones, deputy chief executive of the Port of Milford Haven, said: “The renewal of our pilot-boat fleet is an important decision for us. We have focused on ensuring that we have the right boats with the right commitments in
relation to maintenance and reliability for the challenging operational environment we deal with every day here in Milford Haven.”
In addition to the three new pilot boats, Mustang is currently building a wind-farm support vessel.
