Evolved from the
Skills Show,
World Skills UK LIVE is expected to attract more than 70,000 young people to the NEC, Birmingham, 15-17 November.
Launched in 2012, after the UK hosted the hugely successful international World Skills competition, the Skills Show grew into the UK’s largest skills, apprenticeships and careers event that saw some of the country’s biggest businesses, education organisations — plus the national finals of the
World Skills UK competitions — gather under one roof.
Neil Bentley, chief executive of World Skills UK, said: “We are excited to announce that the
Skills Show will now be known as
World Skills UK LIVE — an event that will build on achievements to date, creating more vibrant and dynamic activity, and allowing thousands more young people to speak with employers, colleges, independent training providers and apprentices about their career options and choices.
“Aligning more closely with the
World Skills UK brand reinforces the important role played by the National Finals, which will continue to be centre stage at the event, and leads to the UK competing on the global stage.”
