A Fareham-based business that is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year has passed the one million mark in sales of its engineering products world-wide.
Family-owned Barnbrook Systems designs and manufactures a range of electro-mechanical solid-state switching devices and systems, which are supplied to private- and public-sector clients across the UK, Europe, India and Africa.
Managing director Tony Barnett said: “Our products are used in a vast array of assets, from fighter aircraft and helicopters to engines and fire extinguishers.
"Our core products — such as actuators — have generated significant revenue streams, helping us to grow Barnbrook Systems into the company it is today.”
The sectors served by Barnbrook include rail, aerospace, defence and maritime. The business is set to attend its 12th consecutive
Farnborough International Airshow this year; in 2016, it signed a six-figure deal with aerospace giant Leonardo at the show to supply a fuel switch for Italian military aircraft.
