Leamington Spa-based Mills CNC Ltd (www.millscnc.co.uk), the exclusive distributor of Doosan machines tools in the UK and Ireland, has introduced the compact Doosan DNM 4000 three-axis vertical machining centre, which is available with Fanuc or Siemens controls.

While the DNM 4000 machine has a small footprint, it offers a work envelope of 520 x 400 x 480mm.

Moreover, it can accommodate workpieces weighing up to 400kg on the 650 x 400mm table.

Doosan’s DNM 4000 is equipped with an 18.5kW (17Nm of torque) 12,000rev/min (BT40) direct-coupled spindle with a cooling system.

The machine also features, as standard, a Big Plus face and taper tooling interface, 48m/min rapid-traverse rates in all three axes, and a side-arm ATC with 20 tools offering a 1.3sec tool-to-tool change-over time.

According to Mills, the machine also has an improved chip evacuation system, along with an efficient and eco-friendly grease lubrication system.
