TDT Technology Ltd, Rugby (www.tdt-technology.co.uk) — the official UK and Ireland importer, sales distributor and service agent for several international machine tool manufacturers — has appointed Tim Stell as area sales manager.

He started his career in 1980 as a technical services engineer at Butler Machine Tools, becoming sales manager at the renamed Asquith Butler in 1994.

He left the company in 1997 to join TW Ward CNC Machinery, first as UK sales manager, then engineering manager.

After more than 13 successful years, Mr Stell re-joined Asquith Butler in 2010 as business development manager.

Apprentice-trained, Mr Stell has an HND in Mechanical and Production Engineering from Halifax College, and an NEBOSH Health and Safety General Certificate.

He said: “I have a technical background in metal cutting and worked in applications long before entering sales. With this in mind, I’m confident that I can add value for our customers.”
