Jaguar Land Rover has chosen Grant McPherson as its next executive director (manufacturing); he will take over on 1 July from Wolfgang Stadler, who is retiring.
Mr McPherson, currently JLR’s quality and automotive-safety director, will be responsible for more than 20,000 members of JLR’s UK and global manufacturing operations and logistics teams in his new role.
CEO Ralf Speth says Mr McPherson will oversee JLR’s investments in its UK and global manufacturing operations, including transforming plants to handle the company’s electrified-vehicle developments.
Mr McPherson held several positions at Honda before joining JLR in 2011 as operations director at the Castle Bromwich assembly plant. He has been in his current role since 2013.
