ERIKS (www.eriks.co.uk), Europe’s largest industrial services company, is to open a centre of expertise for its power transmission and integrated customer support operations in the West Midlands.

The company has agreed a 15-year lease for a newly completed 30,000ft² purpose-built building at Prime Point on the Pensnett Estate in Kingswinford, and it plans to relocate around 120 staff to the site.

Mike Ferris, chief operations officer of ERIKS UK & Ireland, said: “The Prime Point facility will be one of a number of ERIKS Technology Centres dedicated to innovation and customer service. It will support our growth ambitions as Europe’s leading supplier of industrial products and services.

“A number of our offices are ‘bursting at the seams’, so relocating staff will also give us the opportunity to consolidate a number of functions from different offices to improve the co-ordination and flexibility of our technical and engineering support functions.

“The new building will accommodate application engineers from several product areas, as well as our design team, project/ product assembly and customisation cells, plus a repair and test workshop for drives.”
